Preparing to Let

The lettings market is highly competitive, and it is essential that a property is presented in the best condition for it to be let quickly and at a competitive rent. Our letting managers are highly skilled in carrying out a rental and property assessment for you and would be pleased to meet you at the property to discuss all of the issues in greater detail.

At Feliks Augustine our lettings and property management staff have looked after hundreds of properties and are well placed to judge what the correct market rent should be for your property.

Deposit and inventory

We take up references for all prospective tenants, and also carry out a full inventory together with a schedule of condition at the time of letting the property. We will secure a damage deposit from the tenant, protected through the ‘My Deposits’ government-backed scheme.

Routine inspections and maintenance

We undertake routine inspections three months after the start of a new tenancy, and at regular intervals thereafter. We will write a report on the condition of the property and advise on any works needed to be carried out or any issues that need addressing so that your property is always in great condition.

End of tenancy

At the end of a tenancy period we undertake final checks and manage deductions from the deposit when necessary. We can undertake an end-of-tenancy cleaning, repairs and decorating as required.
